EMI metallic gaskets are made by etching a thin metal sheets (mainly Sandvik Chromflex, 0.15mm thickness). Then spring teeth are made are formed all around the gasket (Approximate spring dimension: Thickness 0.06mm, height 0,5mm, spring pitch 2.5mm).
You only need to provide a 2D drawing of the EMI metallic gasket. Then our engineer propose the disposition of the teeth all along the gasket.
With these spring teeth, the electrical contact is ensured all along the EMI gasket. which provide a complete electromagnetic sealing and shielding function.
These EMI metallic shielding gaskets can be used to isolate several cavities on a same equipment using only one EMI gasket.
The design of this kind of EMI shielding gasket, make them suitable for low compression force assemblies. even on surfaces with high roughness (compensated by the numerous spring teeth).
These EMI shielding gaskets are mainly used as hyper frequencies shielding gaskets. Especially on telecom or military applications.
Max dimensions of this kind of EMI shielding gasket are: 400 x 500mm
