Thermoelectrical cooler module – Peltier

Thermoelectric Peltier modules are thermocouples assembled between two ceramic sheets. It acts as a heat pump and is used as thermal interface for a precise thermal management or as a sensor.

Description

Acting like heat pump it requires the usage of heatsinks to spread the heat pumped.

It might be used actively (by power-suppling the Peltier) or passively (the Peltier supply a voltage depending the heat gap between the two sizes).

For a single stage Peltier module, a continuous voltage can create a temperature difference of 70°C (between the two ceramic sheets).
